AfroTech 2026 questions

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between official and side events?

Official sessions are part of the AfroTech program. Side events are hosted around the conference by sponsors, companies and communities. Every event is labeled with how it relates to the conference, and you can filter by either.

Which events does my AfroTech badge get me into?

Each event says how to get in. Official sessions marked Included with your AfroTech badge need only your badge. Others say Conference pass required, Selected badge types only, RSVP required or Invitation only. If the host has not said yet, the event shows Access TBC.

How do I RSVP?

Tap RSVP on the event. It opens the host's own RSVP page in a new tab, because hosts manage their guest lists themselves. If a host has not shared an RSVP link yet, the button reads RSVP link coming soon.

Why don't some events show an address?

Private and invite-only venues are never published. The listing says how to get access instead, and the host shares the address with you once you RSVP or are invited.

Where is AfroTech 2026?

The conference is at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston, November 2 to 6, 2026. Side events are at venues around the city; each event page shows its own location.

How often is the list updated?

There is no fixed schedule. New events appear as soon as our team has reviewed them, so check back during the week. Each event page shows when its details were last verified.

How do I submit an event?

Sign in and use the event submission form. A moderator reviews every submission before it goes live, so it will not appear in the list straight away.
